Mavs Win!! Scout troop may have new scouts! Good times!

What a game and series. Some really good basketball. If they get Phoenix in the final it could be another good series. BTW. Walt email and said he thinks they have three new scouts and two parents that are willing to try to help recruit more. Walt is on days for a while and says he thinks he can make sure we have a program for them at least until he changes shifts again. A glimmer of hope for out Troop!!!

Saturday 3/20 update

I sold aluminum for the troop this morning and went by to see Mr. and Mrs. Weihs. They both were glad to see me/someone. They both look tired, but that is to be expected. They mentioned that Donnie had sent a card and they really enjoyed that. If anyone is interested in mailing a note of making a call to them shoot me an email to the troop address. troop_37@hotmail.com.
Some one ( Walt I think) had brought what looked to be a storage system for a bank of computers. After taking the no aluminum pieces off at the urging of the people at the recycle center, the troop made a total of $267.00 dollars off the metal and cans we had gathered. Put the fence up for the black eyed peas to grow up in the garden this morning. Guess I will do a little income tax accounting home work now. I am not sure what I will do after November when I finish school.lol

Gardening stuff

Well the garden we planted is doing well. We have harvested some banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, broccoli, okra, squash, onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Peas are growing but it will be a while before we can harvest any. So far this has been the best garden we have ever had. Fertilized the hay field but of course no rain since I did that. Oh well ....Such is life.

Updates on things

For those that aren't getting email updates....I talked to Mrs.Weihs and Bill is home. He still has to be fed with a stomach tube. She sounded tired, but glad to be home. Donny and I saw Papa John, Fat Fox, and Jack Metz at the ordeal, and they looked good. Lucas Price from our sponsoring church(Troop 308) and Mr. Dave Mehl (Troop 335) got the vigil. I talk to Mr. Collover weekly and he seems to be doing well. We are trying to put together a trip to the memorial at College Station for those that passed in the bonfire. I am told Chad Powell's name is there.

First post

Well, I took the plunge and started one of these, and as the name says it Might be a mistake. It is a good thing to have a place to come and keep track of some of the billy goats and their mates. We will see where this takes us.
